Avengers: Doomsday: Doctor Doom's SECOND Costume Revealed At D23 Along With VisionQuest's Ultron

A second Doctor Doom costume from Avengers: Doomsday has been revealed on the show floor at D23, along with James Spader's human/robot form as Ultron in the upcoming VisionQuest TV series.

Marvel Studios has brought a second Doctor Doom costume to its Avengers: Doomsday display at D23 in Anaheim, and it appears to be what the villain was wearing during The Fantastic Four: First Steps' mid-credits scene.

The mask does look a little different, which could be a result of the Russo Brothers not having finalised the design when that stinger was filmed.

Regardless, this design is likely what Victor Von Doom will wear while attempting to win the trust of the Multiverse's Mightiest Heroes. However, when his true nature is revealed, Doctor Doom will don the "classic" costume seen in the poster released earlier today.

Avengers: Doomsday is clearly taking a unique approach to Doom, giving the villain a new origin story and introducing him in a way that has a little more substance than his early comic book appearances. That runs the risk of veering too far from the comics, but time will tell.

Marvel Studios has also recreated the Time Variance Authority, which has clearly come under attack. This appears to confirm rumours about Doom targeting it and Loki during the movie.

Meanwhile, the VisionQuest display has also been updated, with that Jim Hammond/Human Torch artwork seemingly hacked by Ultron. His classic form from 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron is spliced with a new human appearance featuring actor James Spader's likeness.

Multiple MCU AI programs are expected to appear in human form in the Disney+ series, though we're sure Ultron will be his usual evil self during this reunion with his "son," The Vision. Whether he has a future beyond VisionQuest remains to be seen.

In Avengers: Doomsday, beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.

In VisionQuest, The Vision, rebooted and having escaped those who sought to use him as a weapon, has been in hiding. His quest for new meaning and discreet existence is interrupted when a bounty is placed on his head, forcing Vision to forge real connections and embrace found family if he's to survive.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18. The conclusion to the WandaVision trilogy is set to premiere on Disney+ on October 14.

@InfinitePunches - Sorry, I meant within the MCU timeline. Doom might have been Dooming for a number of years and what we're seeing here could be his flashback costume.

The Fant4stic version is nightmare fuel

Me still thinks we’ll see less of Vision and Ultron in their android/robot forms than we saw of Moonknight in his show. Anyone think differently?
