Avengers Endgame: Encore: Marvel Studios Appears To Have Made Some Big Changes To The Film

Avengers Endgame: Encore opens in theaters next month, and fans have noticed at least a couple of noteworthy changes made to the movie, both in terms of the dialogue and how it looks.

Avengers Endgame: Encore tickets went on sale yesterday, and we're hearing the movie took just two hours to record the biggest pre-sales start ever for a re-release. Could the movie take back the #1 spot from Avatar at the global box office? It's certainly possible.

While time will tell on that front, eagle-eyed fans have noticed at least two big differences in the trailer that was released yesterday compared to the version of Avengers: Endgame currently available.

It seems some tweaks have been made for those Infinity Vision screens, which, as a reminder, is a new certification for Premium Large Format (PLF) theaters that "guarantees moviegoers an exceptional film presentation with big screens, bright images and outstanding sound."

The color grading is much more vibrant, but has Disney just upped the contrast a little to create the impression that Infinity Vision screens will make the movie look better? That's currently being hotly debated, but it's entirely possible that, seven years on, Marvel Studios has found a legitimate way to improve Avengers: Endgame's visuals.

A line of dialogue in yesterday's sneak peek has been altered. In what could be a small but meaningful change, Tony Stark now tells Steve Rogers, "You mess with time, time tends to mess back" instead of "You mess with time, it tends to mess back."

A big part of Avengers: Doomsday will reportedly revolve around the consequences of Steve travelling back in time to get his happy ending with Peggy Carter, so this warning now hits a little harder.

There are also unverified rumblings about Emma Fuhrmann's Cassie Lang being swapped out with Kathryn Newton, who took over the role in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania

"It’s going to connect the story of the two movies," the Russo Brothers have previously said of Avengers Endgame: Encore"There’s a natural progression from 'Endgame' into 'Doomsday,' which is also inclusive of all of the other stories that have been playing out."

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the movie features an epic ensemble which includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

"Avengers: Endgame is a masterpiece which not only delivers on every expectation you had but exceeds ones you didn't even think about. This isn't just a movie, it's an experience," we wrote in our 2019 review of the movie.

Avengers Endgame: Encore arrives in theaters on September 25.

Selfish a** Steve Rogers.

Couldn't deal with moving on and living his life, like anyone else, and decides "Hey I know, I'll go back in time and be with Peggy. Even tho this whole recent experience has shown me that it could have some huge negative repercussions on a global scale, I'm sure it will be fine."

The dude was going back to replace the infinity stones where they were taken from so it wouldn't disrupt the timeline and all that...what did he think would happen if he injected himself permanently into his old 1940s world? Not to mention that there were then two exact Steve Rogers existing at that time, with one being frozen.
