Avengers: Endgame Encore: Here's When Tickets For Extended MCU Re-Release Go On Sale

Next month, Marvel Studios will release an extended version of Avengers: Endgame, titled Avengers: Endgame Encore, to set the stage for Avengers: Doomday this December.

There won't be much never-before-seen footage, but even a few minutes should be enough to pique the interest of fans eager for a new glimpse of the Multiverse's Mightiest Heroes preparing to battle Doctor Doom. As of now, it's unclear whether the extra scenes were shot specifically for this re-release or pulled from Doomsday.

Either way, Marvel Studios is looking to take this opportunity to increase excitement for Doom's arrival.

When will you be able to buy tickets? It's widely being reported that Avengers: Endgame Encore tickets go on sale Monday, August 24. Some websites like AMC Theaters and Regal have started listing showtimes, and we'd bet tomorrow will bring a new trailer, posters, and perhaps even a glimpse of those new scenes.

While Avengers: Endgame Encore is being released under the "Infinity Vision" banner, it appears Disney will show the movie on IMAX screens. That's a big draw, especially as the 2019 movie ranks among Marvel Studios' most epic efforts.

Talking of Infinity Vision, the website has been updated with various technical specifications, explaining what a theater needs to meet those criteria.

Avengers: Endgame opened to an eye-watering $1.2 billion worldwide six years ago. It broke countless records at the time, many of which it still holds. For a time, Avengers: Endgame was the highest-grossing movie ever with $2.799 billion worldwide.

However, Avatar's re-release during the pandemic saw the James Cameron-helmed blockbuster return to the top spot. That should change when Avengers: Endgame Encore arrives, as early projections suggest it stands a good chance of topping Avatar's $2.923 billion haul.

"Avengers: Endgame is a masterpiece which not only delivers on every expectation you had but exceeds ones you didn't even think about. This isn't just a movie, it's an experience," we wrote in our 2019 review of the movie.

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the movie features an epic ensemble which includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

If you don't want to wait until September, the theatrical cut of Avengers: Endgame is currently streaming on Disney+.

@Nonameforme - fans of avatar will still go see avatar if rerelease again had extra four minutes to movie.,

If I had to choose see end game or avatar I choose end game over avatar to support end game

@Nonameforme - Exactly.
I'm not paying for that. The new scenes will leak online within a day for free and I'm sure they'll add next to nothing that links it to Doomsday.

Disney should have did with Endgame, what they did with Avatar. Take Endgame off streaming at the start of the year, and then release Encore in theaters. Wonder if it has the juice to get an extra 200 million worldwide like the Titanic rerelease in 2012.

I've seen this movie enough times. It's summer time and I have an advanced imagination on how to keep myself entertained in other ways.

I really hope this bombs.
Why?
I think it is a disservice to add 4 minutes to a 3 hours movie just to connect it to the next installment of the Avengers franchise.

If the Russos and Marvel/Disney were smart, they would show a 4 minute mini movie for free in cinemas and online to wet the appetite for Doomsday.

Personally i think Doomsday will be a bad movie, mid at best, as the green screen cinematography (if you can even call it that) looks really bad and having read the screenplay on reddit, i am not excited.

I don't expect more than 50 million dollars to be added to the total because no one gives a shit. They tried this with No Way Home as well except that actually had additional scenes, not some 4 minute super glue for the franchise
