Avengers: Secret Wars: Noah Jupe's Mystery MCU Role May Have Already Been Revealed

Marvel Studios has started assembling Avengers: Secret Wars' cast, and a new leak may have already revealed who A Quiet Place star Noah Jupe is playing in the Multiverse Saga finale.

The news broke yesterday that A Quiet Place and Hamnet star Noah Jupe has joined the cast of Avengers: Secret Wars in a mystery role. Shooting begins later this year, so the Russo Brothers are now deep into pre-production and busy assembling the movie's cast.

Speculation about Jupe's role has run wild (some fans believe he could be playing the Beyonder), but the mystery may have already been solved. Multiple online scoopers claim that the actor is playing an older Franklin Richards, the son of the Fantastic Four's Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.

Jupe is 21, so that's a big jump in age for the powerful young mutant. However, it puts Franklin in the same ballpark as the X-Men reboot's cast, potentially opening the door to him being a surprise addition to the team in Jake Schreier's reboot.

As a reminder, it's previously been rumoured that Sue Storm is pregnant in Avengers: Doomsday. Then, when Battleworld is created, she'll become Doctor Doom's wife, with Franklin and Valeria portrayed as "their" children.

Internet sleuths have also been on the case, noting that Jupe has recently logged multiple viewings of The Fantastic Four: First Steps on his Letterboxd account.

Much is also being said about the physical similarities between Jupe and Reed Richards actor Pedro Pascal. With that in mind, it certainly looks like he could portray Franklin, a mutant with the ability to reshape and create entire realities (which will come in handy when the Multiverse needs to be recreated after the events of Avengers: Secret Wars).

Do you think Jupe would be a good fit for the MCU's Franklin? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

The confirmed (or semi-confirmed, at least) cast of Avengers: Secret Wars includes Robert Downey Jr. (Doctor Doom), Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Paul Bettany (The Vision), Letitia Wright (Black Panther), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), and Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter).

Also appearing are Pedro Pascal (Mister Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing), and Sadie Sink (Jean Grey). The Thunderbolts* cast is also expected to return.

The Russo Brothers direct Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with whom they previously collaborated on the Avengers and Captain America franchises. Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness's Michael Waldron has also been enlisted to refine the story, alongside Spider-Man: Brand New Day's Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18, with Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled to arrive on December 17, 2027.

jumping to gun. Do we really need franklin and valeria in the universe already?! we just got FF. Really hope they do not put franklin on xmen team...

@AgentofSH1ELD - Well he already is in the first movie... So might as well grow him up rather than have the team running around with a baby forever, no need to be like The Incredibles where Jack Jack never grows up

@AgentofSH1ELD -
It's honestly kinda fricked up that Susan Storm's only role in the MCU is an incubator. First to Franklin, now to Valeria, literally having her as a trophy for Doctor Doom to claim in Avengers: Doomsday and something Namor desires.

@AgentofSH1ELD -

Valeria, not necessarily but it does make sense with their rumored aproach towards the other heroes' children.

Franklin, absolutely, especially with how he was set up in the team's film.

@Scarilian - ikr. I was thinking the same thing with the "rumor" she will be pregnant in Doomsday. Like wtf. lol. thats so ridiculous.

@AgentofSH1ELD - they say wait 6 weeks before sex after childbirth. They recommend close to a year before getting pregnant. Given Franklin's age... looks like the Richards followed doctors protocol lol. I see nothing wrong haha

Franklins hair in First Steps is so, so blonde. I know kids’ hair can get darker with age, but this jump in age alongside a blonde to black hair is jarring for a casual viewer, I’d imagine

@gambgel - that's how it always is. If they really know their stuff, it would've been a rumour beforehand

A Teenage Victor Von Doom, maybe in a a flashback sequence?

This would also explain how little tchala is an adult in secret wars. There seems to be some time dilation with the jump to Dooms pocket reality world

@Vigor - yeah

Unless the soft reboot weirdly ages up some characters

COMICS lol

@Vigor - or maybe there is no time dilation and there's gonna be a 10 year difference between Doomsday amd Secret Wars.

I'd prefer there being time dilation though. The MCU already takes place a few years into the future, and they don't need to add to that imo.
Vigor
Vigor - 9/2/2026, 8:17 AM
@bkmeijer1 - exactly. The issue with the time jumps is it becomes less realistic some of the OG characters are still physically youthful to still be heroes. Like Hawkeye, sam Wilson. The more human characters would be aging out of capability
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 9/2/2026, 8:26 AM
@Vigor - think a better example would be Peter Parker. Tom Holland and his character differ 8 years in age.

If there's gonna be a soft-reboot, I do hope it the in-universe age and year are aligned with the real world (as best as possible).

Maybe Noah just really likes First Steps , i mean it’s a solid film so i get rewatching it…

Kidding aside , It’s quite likely that Noah could be an aged up Franklin even though I know the latter is blonde in this continuity which isn’t a big deal since he could dye his hair as he has done before or blonde hair can darken when you age aswell.

However it’s also almost as likely he might be playing a new X-Man like Nightcrawler or the Beyonder , hell maybe even a a resurrected version of Doom’s son in this who could be the MCU version of Kristoff Vernard who was his adopted son in the comics so without more information , we can’t really say imo.

Anyway , I don’t see us getting confirmation about it anytime soon so here we go to months of more speculation and constant rumors & changes about who he’s playing..sigh!!.

I'm hoping he's gonna be the Beyonder. At first I though making the Beyonder a Kang variant could've been interesting, but at this point I hope Doom just bombs the Council of Kangs right away just as he did with the Beyonders in the comic.
