As all of you know, this year is Batman's 75th anniversary and DC comics have so far done a great job at celebrating it. Well now you can prepare to keep on celebrating as DC Comics will be giving out a free copys of Detective Comics #27 on Batman Day, which falls on July 23rd, the day before San Diego Comic-Con begins. No the issue won't be the original 1939 issue, but instead a retelling of the classic story by Brad Metltzer and artwork done by Bryan Hitch. Not to mention the free issue will credit artirst Bill Finger, who helped created Batman and many villains in the Batman rogues gallery, on the cover of the issue.

Also, here's a Batman timeline, which details some of the highlights in the Dark Knight's 75 years of existence.

So what do you guys think? Are you going to get the free isssue? I know I am. Leave your thoughts in the comment section below!

I hope WB will sell the timeline as a poster. That would be cool after it gets laminated.

I got excited because I thought it WAS the original Detective #27 reprinted... but it's the remake from earlier this year that I already bought.
But crediting Bill Finger? Finally!
