The Batman - Part II Set Photos Reveal Best Look Yet At Robert Pattinson As Bruce Wayne

As filming continues on Matt Reeves' The Batman sequel, these latest set photos provide a much better look at returning star Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne.

The initial set videos showed the actor's stand-in rehearsing the scene, but here we see the Primetime star himself making his way through a crowd of angry protestors as he leaves the courthouse.

Some of the signs being held said: “Court of Fowls, I'm coming for you next, Your Greed is Killing Us, Oligarchs gotta go, The richer get richer, Eat the rich, One day the poor will have nothing," and "Re$i$t.”

The Waynes have always represented the elite in Gotham City, but the family was generally well-regarded by the working class. We're not sure exactly what Bruce did to change this, but it seems clear that he is no longer a very popular figure.

Could the actions of The Court of Owls or Anarky be behind this negative perception of Billionaire Bruce? (more here).

We've included some unverified rumors from a source who claims to have been sent these details from a WB insider. There's nothing particularly hard-to-believe here, and a lot of it has been previously reported, but it is worth reading through for a few intriquing tidbits.

Sebastian Stan is believed to be playing the movie's main villain, and the Fjord star was asked about the Harvey Dent rumors during a recent interview.

"Look, there’s no way to keep any secret anymore. What I’ll say is this: there’s no way people will fully grasp how this movie is until they see it. I go to set sometimes and I look around and I’m like, I think we’re making [frick]ing The Godfather Part Two. I feel that highly about it. Matt has spent three years working on it. There’s a lot of speculation about these roles, about what this movie is, but I think it’s going to be a good payoff — it’s really grounded and real, and that’s what I loved about it. You want to tease it a little, but we still have a long time."

When Stan's casting was announced, the trades indicated that he would play Dent/Two-Face, but this was never confirmed, and rumors later circulated that he'd actually been cast as deranged serial killer Victor Zsasz.

As for Scarlett Johansson, there are rumors that she will play a version of Poison Ivy. A blonde woman many believe to be the actress' stunt double was recently spotted riding shotgun in the Batmobile.

Earlier this year, Reeves officially announced the movie's main cast on social media.

The filmmaker confirmed that Robert Pattinson (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Jeffrey Wright (Jim Gordon), Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth), Colin Farrell (Oz Cobb/The Penguin), Jayme Lawson (Bella Réal) and Gil Perez-Abraham (Officer Martinez) will reprise their roles, alongside new cast members Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, Sebastian Koch and Brian Tyree Henry.

Reeves did not reveal the characters Gotham City's new additions will play.

After several previous delays, The Batman - Part II was scheduled to arrive in theaters on October 1, 2027, but was recently pushed back to February 18, 2028.

He looks far closer to the traditional Bruce Wayne look than he did in the first movie; he's clearly beginning to develop that persona he has in other media and the comics.

Ever since The Riddler released the video of the Waynes, the citizens have hated the Waynes.

The Riddler has radicalized the citizens, and that is the reason why characters like Anarky are emerging.

@Repian - I like the idea and seems like a natural extension of the first film.

Robert looks good as Bruce imo…

While he still has somewhat long hair , Bruce seems more clean cut and put together then he was in the first film which makes me think he won’t be reclusive as he was in that given the arc he had in it and more of a public facing philanthropist as well as perhaps playboy but we’ll see.

Anyway , looking forward to Part 2 since I liked the first film quite a bit!!

So that’s why the Batsuit has a collar… it’s to hide his skinny neck.

If Lanterns can exist in the DCU, then so can this version of Batman. I still want the merger. Reeves isn't seeing a bigger picture

Cool. Looks like he's getting into the "Billionaire Playboy" persona as he gets older.
