As much as I agree that Josh Holloway would make a sweet Gambit, I do think his character from the show is closer to Wolverine. If you still disagree, watch this clip from Lost (my personal favourite scene of the series) you will see they are very similar characters.

Sawyer Goes Berserker

Both of them are renegades with hearts of gold, they are both named "James", neither are strangers to taking lives, they both took the names of their father's killers. Not to mention the sometimes awkward love triangles that last throughout both series.

No way to Holloway as Wolverine, he's nothing like him...can very much see him as Gambit though.

@ Canadianturd, Are you casting the Lost character, or the actor as the X man?

Because if it's the character...both Gambit and Sawyer are from the South. Sawyer was a con man who became more heroic, Gambit was a thief who became more heroic. Both have clashed with their companions occasionally, and have formed love interests.

Cool, i can see JOSH as WOLVIE, as for another actor... maybe IAN SOMBERHOLDER (?), dunno if you cast the guy in your first part but he has a WOLVIE kinda look to him, right size too! Of course I'd normally say QUICKSILVER for him though!; P

@ Kaedus, I've been trying to take both the character and the actor or either one. Sometimes they don't work the way I want and sometimes they're perfect! Excellent points for Holloway/Sawyer as Gambit though.

@ LEEE777, I did think about it and my second choice for Wolverine would be Nestor Carbonell/Richard Alpert, the man who never ages. He also has a dark look to him.

I Have been wanting to post a lost xmen fancast for months now! i really like this one. i was thinking naveen andrews(sayid) could make an excellent forge. looks just like him imo!

Also, wolvie was a difficult one for me to cast. based on looks alone, i would have to say that the captain of the freighter in season 4? i think would make a good wolverine. go back and check him out! lemme know whatcha think!
