A new trailer for Scream VI is set to be released online later today, and EW (via FearHQ.com) has shared the first official promo stills for the next instalment in the long-running horror franchise in anticipation.
The images spotlight surviving characters from the last movie such as Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown), Chad (Mason Gooding), Gale (Courteney Cox) Tara (Jenna Ortega) and Sam (Melissa Barrera), as well as mysterious new (Ghost?)face Dermot Mulroney.
We also get our first look at returning Scream 4 fan-favorite Kirby Reed, who will once again be played by Hayden Panettiere.
"She's come a long way," says Panettiere of her character. "What happened to her has obviously impacted her life, and it sends her in a certain direction, but she's still the same old Kirby at the heart of it. She's just a little older, a little wiser, but just as spitfire-y, and snarky, and all that good stuff."

Following the latest Ghostface killings, the four survivors leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter. In Scream VI, Melissa Barrera ("Sam Carpenter"), Jasmin Savoy Brown ("Mindy Meeks-Martin"), Mason Gooding ("Chad Meeks-Martin"), Jenna Ortega ("Tara Carpenter"), Hayden Panettiere ("Kirby Reed"), and Courtney Cox ("Gale Weathers") return to their roles in the franchise alongside Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra and Samara Weaving.
This will be the first Scream instalment not to feature Sidney Prescott (you can check out a statement from Neve Campbell here), but it's been confirmed that her absence will be referenced.
