Following last week's logo reveal, CBS All Access has debuted the first official teaser promo fo
r Star Trek: Picard.
The footage begins with the now retired Admiral (Patrick Stewart) working in his vineyard while an unknown character narrates. It seems Picard left Starfleet after a mysterious incident 15 years earlier, but will seemingly return to help The Federation when called upon.

Star Trek Into Darkness writer Alex Kurtzman is on board as showrunner, while Hanelle Culpepper
(Star Trek: Discovery) will direct the pilot and second episode.
The plot of the series is still under wraps. In fact, all we know for certain is that the story will revolve around the aging Picard coming out of retirement to offer his expertise to Starfleet after the destruction of the planet Romulus, which occurred in the 2009
Star Trek reboot.
Star Trek: Picard doesn't have a premiere date just yet.
