I think that picture of the Arkham suit replica shows that it would look ridiculous.

Even Burton understood that you cant give a guy who wants to cover himself in darkness a bright grey suit.

I think this will be a Superman movie that will feature Batman in it, not a full fledged Superman vs Batman movie that everyone is making it out to be

I agree with a lot of what he said, but I still don't like the idea of them fighting each other the entire movie. I am of course no screenwriter by any means, but I fail to see how you can make that work for 2 and a half hours. Superman cannot fight Batman the same way he fought Zod. Superman could defeat Batman in so many ways it's not even funny, actual combat is not gonna work. And this potentially will be THE summer blockbuster of 2015, so no one is going to be happy with a 2 hour movie about their battle of wits. There has to be some other threat that brings them together to stop it, or this isn't gonna work. A fight between Supes and Bats is most likely gonna be a poor climax.

Just do this:

Do something simple. Don't try to risk doing a new spin on it. We don't need Batman and Superman fighting because it's dumb as [frick]. SUPERMAN JUST TOOK DOWN METROPOLIS FIGHTING ZOD AND YOU THINK BATMAN STANDS A CHANCE???

HAVE THEM TOGETHER, AS A TEAM

Im sorry but Lex Luthor and Joker have no damn business working together. Thats the difference between animation and cartoons. If they are trying to be all realistic and stuff, then Joker and Lex simply wouldnt make any sense. They arent like Batman and Superman where their motivations are simply just bring justice, Joker wants chaos and anarchy, Luthor is a business man, CEO of Lexcorp...No.

Joe Manganiello, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, and Josh Brolin as Lex Luthor. Add in a great action star as Metallo and a fantastic character actor as Joker. Fill the movie with character development and action and you have a winner.

Then don't use Joker. Use Deathstroke & Metallo. Lex wants to kill Superman & Bruce Wayne. He sends Deathstroke for Bruce and Metallo to Superman.

Make it like Public Enemies.

They will have a conflict in the 2nd act and by the 3rd act they will be teamed up against a greater threat.

Duh.

I don't think it will be horrible but I also feel it will not exactly be a Man of Steel sequel. It will be the Batman Reboot. That's fine I guess, but it's not a sequel in the same way as Iron Man 3 was not a sequel to Avengers.

The way things are shaping up it may turn out to be Batman heavy. Using the Dark Knight Returns as a template for the story, Frank Miller as a creative consultant, Zack Snyder being quoted as saying - "It's too early for me to discuss the film. However, regardless of how I feel about Superman, ultimately I have to go along with the direction that Warner Bros. thinks is best".

They should just called it "How Batman beat Superman and started the Justice League while Superman tagged along with his tail between his legs." Because that's what's going to happen.

@Yaboi

Yeah I would, but part of me is kinda glad they're doing this instead. Although a sequel with Lex & Brainiac as the villains would've been dope.

Batman 5-3 favorite to win.
Personally hoping its a Superman and Batman team up lead in to a Justice League movie.

What I really want to see is a clash of personalities. I don't care how many buildings get wrecked or how old Batman is. I just want them to capture the cores of the characters: Batman's smarts and obsessive traits, Supes's kindness and sense of honour.

Emphasis on Batman's smarts, though. He's not going to beat Superman if his only strategy is speed-dialing Lucius Fox.

This is just my opinion but I want the tas/arkham game portrayal of batman. To me at least that is how Bruce should act. Embrace that he is the worlds greatest detective, that hes smart enough to make his own gadgets, has trained for years in martial arts, and establish that to the general public he is believed to be an urban myth. Im not saying that he has to be unreasonably over powered, hes still a man after all. But hopefully they portray him better than the nolan films (Theyre great movies, but watered down batman imo). And really I dont care if bats/supes fight, I just hope the two have good chemistry and become good friends by the end.

@Levitikuz: Exactly! That animated movie is probably the best Batman/Superman team-up I've seen. Everything makes perfect sense and fits so well together. It would be a great way to introduce kryptonite and two of the most iconic villains in comics. I watched the shit out of that movie on VHS! haha
