Granted, Dave Stevens is a tough act to follow, but that artwork is horrendous.

I like the art, it looks retro and fitting to the title.

@earzmundo: Marvel's way ahead of you. Waid's already working on a title called 'Here Comes...Daredevil'.

@SUPERMAN2013 - Really? So you read somewhere that Rocketeer is very similar to Iron man and thought you'd be clever, well you're not. It just proves you've never read the comic or watched the movie.

1: Is Cliff a scientist? No, he's a struggling racing pilot who works for an air circus on the side.

2: Did he invent a suit of Armour that gives him super strength and flight? No, he found a rocket pack made by Howard Hughes (Yes, the real life billionaire, film-maker and aviator), it allows him to fly and that's it!

3: Does The Rocketeer go out as a public superhero? No, he basically uses the Rocket pack to get himself out of all the trouble that comes his way from those who desired Howard Hughes's creation.

4: Does Cliff have lots of women in his life including a relationship with his personal assistant? No, he's a one man girl and his girlfriend is Betty Page the classic 50's model, actress and pin-up.

5: Does Cliff make lots of versions of Rocket packs like Iron Man's various armours? No, he is not an engineer or an inventor, his Engineer Peevy makes repairs and creates the Helmet for him to wear and use as a rudder and that's it!

So smart-mouth how exactly is The Rocketeer anything like Tony Starks Iron Man, THEY BOTH FLY?

The artwork is not that good. Dave Stevens' portrayal of Betty is still the best.
