Marvel Comics Kills Off An Iconic Villain In AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #22's "Hunted" Finale

When Kraven the Hunter was resurrected during the "Grim Hunt" storyline a number of years ago, it was revealed that the only way he could die again would be at the hands of Spider-Man. Since then, he's done his best to goad the wall-crawler into ending his life so he can finally rest and the iconic villain finally got his wish in today's Amazing Spider-Man #22.

However, it wasn't Peter Parker who was responsible for bringing an end to his life.

After being bested by Spider-Man, Kraven realises that the hero will never kill him and instead decides to take mercy on those he's imprisoned by releasing them. While the curse says that only the Spider can kill Kraven, the villain figures out that by becoming the Spider again (both by donning his costume and being a good man like he is), he can effectively kill himself.

He does so by fooling his "son" (a clone) into brutally murdering him during a battle which allows the real Spider-Man to make his escape and return to Mary Jane Watson.

With that, Kraven the Hunter is dead again and it seems like that's it for him now.

However, his son is still around to take on the wall-crawler so the legacy of the character will at least live on in that respect. What did you guys think about the conclusion to the "Hunted" storyline?
