Last night THR broke the news that 20th Century Fox and Ryan Reynolds had finally settled on David Leitch to helm their Deadpool sequel in original director Tim Miller's stead, but they also mentioned some of the other filmmakers that were in contention for the job: Rupert Sanders (Ghost in the Shell), Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods) and Magnus Martens (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).

Now while we did include this in our original report, it definitely warrants some closer scrutiny, as the trade also mentions that Leitch won't return to helm a third installment, and that Fox is actively searching for a new director to take over. Obviously this is purely speculation, but it's not unreasonable to assume that they might take another look at one or all of the individuals mentioned above, considering they came close to landing the Deadpool 2 gig.

Assuming that's the case, out of Martens, Goddard and Sanders, who would you most like to see in the director's chair?
