The most stupid TDKR meme gets corrected

Supposed plot holes and sarcasm are powerful agents to the uninitiated but we are initiated aren't we comic book movie geeks. This is the stupidest The Dark Knight Rises meme.

When I saw this picture I waved my fist at the screen in indignation. How dare they make a mockery of this beautiful film all over the internet and assorted social media sites. Whoever made this must not have watched the film but merely have overheard some people talking about it; on a particularly loud train; whilst they had their headphones on. I'm not saying it doesn't have plot holes because it does it really does. The point is that people shouldn't be picking out this one as it isn't a plot hole at all. This is a point other people have probably raised before but I'm just going to reiterate it.

You may already see what I mean. When Bane and his men took control of Gotham a few certain things took place and some things were said. Bane told the people to take stuff from the rich which lead to many being attacked and killed. Not only that but many people were subjected to death by exile. Then there was all the rioting that went on during the take over and we start to see a pattern appearing. A lot of people in Gotham died. Especially the rich. Therefore there would be no reason for people to assume that they are the same person rendering this supposed plot hole firmly plugged. Although Bruce Wayne is actually Batman. I hope that didn't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

@MrCBM56 no, you never get over a truly great movie
@Jollem yes, there really was but that's what happens with really good films. You don't see the Marvel films problems get called out because people accept that they just aren't the same quality
@NovaCorpsfan if a use of know instead of no which you are able to identify makes you unable to read you should see someone about it

It's just a joke! (and a pretty funny one- I never saw this before) RELAX!

I love The Dark Knight Rises. But there's no harm in poking fun. Seriously, you make fans of these movies look so uptight when you're sweat these details.
Guido
Guido - 7/24/2013, 4:28 PM
@RobGrizzly firstly why did you read this kind of article if you didn't want to read the pedantic ranting of some random person on the internet. Also it is better that I do this on the internet rather than in real life where people just look at me in an odd way. I like poking fun but not in this kind of situation where in my non-internet life I have to make an attempt to explain before giving up and facepalming with failier

You would think the first appearance of Batman and the return of Bruce Wayne or the last sighting of Batman and Bruce Wayne becoming a recluse would be the more funnier meme.

Truth be told with their pictures side by side even a 5 year old would realize Batman is Bruce Wayne.

the dark knight rises is nothing special, its not the worse batman film, that goes to batman forever & batman & robin.

definitely the worse of the nolan trilogy, average when compared to batman begins & the dark knight.

@Guido, at what point did I say I didn't read it? I don't understand why you've written this, it's pretty pointless. Also if you're gonna try and call someone out, maybe check if they're actually being hostile to you. As well as you calling this *ahem* a "rant", you decided not to give a spoiler warning and give away several of the film's plot points. Also, seeing as you're going to call me out for making an observation and pointing out a slight error I'll take no shame when I call you a sad little individual who seems to have no concept of the varying forms of criticism and insists on defending a movie which was, at best, average. And you mis-spelled failure a few comments above this one.

You have the floor...

Nice article. I don't even respond to that nonsense. If I had a nickel for ever incoherent and dumb criticism for the Dark Knight movies I would buy Warner Brothers. These memes and phony alleged plot holes are made by people that think Batman and Robin is a masterpiece so it is best that no one pays any attention to them which is what is really driving their need to constantly tell people how much they supposedly dislike the films.

I feel I should explain myself, because judging from this article, you can't take a joke. My previous comment was a sarcastic joke. I apologize for the joke. Please don't "rant" about my poor joke. Will hurt its feelings. ;)

the good bits of the dark knight rises.

1.batman being chased by the police.

2.batman vs bane 1st fight(someone should add sound effects text from the 60s show,BIFF,POW,SMACK,CRASH,WOLLOP & so on.)

3.some of the scenes involving the bat

4.alfred crying at the grave powerful scene, only to lose its impact couple of minutes later.

5.the end credits (i couldn't think of anything else)

@Jokerfan

Well what can you expect from someone who puts so much effort into looking like a Bat. It's not like crime stopped when he was designing cowls with Alfred or painting the nomex suit.

Batman is a drama queen and deserves to be locked up, unfortunately no one has the balls because Bruce Wayne's super power isn't money - it's that he holds grudge.

Dude......It's just a meme.......I love the film as well, but let's not push it mate. TDKR was a great film, but it had its flaws. And even i chuckle and laugh at the thought of them. Why so serious?

It's about time I replied to some comments so: Just so everyone knows I'm not being too serious about all of this it's intended in a more sarcastic tone. Also I realise that it has many faults (where the hell can you have an illegal prison for hundreds of years without anyone closing it down?)it's just that people criticize this film too much on false grounds. Also people who say this is pointless and stupid: well yes it is. It's an opinion piece, about a meme, about a film, about a man who dresses as a bat to fight crime.
Guido
Guido - 7/29/2013, 2:18 PM
Also @NovaCorpsMan please shut up calling out my spelling mistakes. I don't care. Also you are saying that my articles and comments with spelling mistakes are bigger errors than the fact that the entire meme is incorrect?

It's interesting to see that it's still a point of controversy amongst fans, though. Not for nothing, but The Animated Series ftw ;)
