Man Of Tomorrow Star Adria Arjona Won't Clarify Which Character She's Playing In James Gunn's Sequel

We've been led to believe that Adria Arjona is playing the villainous Maxima in Man of Tomorrow, but the Onslaught star wouldn't clarify her role during a new interview...

If Adria Arjona is playing Maxima in Man of Tomorrow, she should have no problem clarifying her role... right?

The Andor star is believed to be playing the powerful villain in James Gunn's Superman sequel, but speculation continues to mount that she has actually been cast as the DCU's Wonder Woman.

While speaking to Screen Rant, Arjona "wasn’t able to clarify her Man of Tomorrow character." This has only added more fuel to the fire, and fans are more convinced than ever that she's actually playing Diana.

Whoever Arjona is playing in the movie, she has gotten into tremendous shape for the role.

“I have muscles that I've never had in my life. I'm training two to three hours a day on a crazy diet. Drinking coffee is the only thing that keeps me up. And I’m really excited!”

Arjona did share her excitement about reuniting with DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran, who cast her in 2016's The Belko Experiment.

“I'm excited to be reunited with the family that started everything for me, which is Peter Safran and James Gunn. They gave me my first movie. I wouldn't have done any of the movies that we've spoken about today if not for them. I wouldn't be in Andor if it hadn't been for Peter Safran and James Gunn, so it feels really f--king cool and really exciting to reunite with that team and to be in that family. And that's all I'm going to tell you!”

Do you think Arjona is really playing Wonder Woman? Let us know in the comments.

The plot of MOT will focus on the Man of Steel (Corenswet) and Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) putting their differences aside and joining forces to defend the planet against Brainiac (Lars Eidinger).

Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), and Maria Gabriella de Faria (The Engineer) have all been confirmed to return, and we recently learned that Aaron Pierre will reprise his Lanterns role as John Stewart.

Xolo Maridueña has also been confirmed to reprise the role of Blue Beetle.

"At its core, it’s about Clark and Lex," Gunn said in a recent interview. "I relate to both of them. I relate to Lex’s ambition and obsession — minus the murder. And I relate to Superman’s belief in people, his Midwestern values. They’re two sides of me."

Man of Tomorrow will hit theaters on July 9, 2027.

First off, we don't need Wonder Woman yet. Plus, having a major player getting scean time with Supes just won't work. All the other characters are b-level so it can't threaten Superman being front and center.

Secondly, if Gunn is so fond of lesser known characters that haven't been on screen yet, shes probably going to be Maxima.

@lazlodaytona - Brainiac is a worldwide threat. If Gunn wants to give this movie a sense of scale, he'll cut to different places all over the world of heroes fighting Brainiac drones. Bruce and Diana don't even have to meet Clark. Just show that the invasion is hitting Gotham and DC at the same time as Metropolis.

Hell, throw Aquaman, Black Adam, and Geo-Force in there too.

She is Maxima. Its obvious. No need for Diana in this kind of story.

Gunn is also gonna get all he can get out of Lois being jealous of this super powered woman pushing up on Clark.

@MisterBones - Nothing was interesting between her & Superman in the last weak film. All he did was cry to her then ran to her in the end to kiss & float(rushed scenes) Cant even watch Gunns wacky goofy Superman2025 twice! It like Thor Love & Thunder

James Gunn isn't NOT allowed to USE BATMAN or Wonder Woman without consent from Paramount who DID NOT ReNew his contract which is up Feb 2027!! Thank God. Get rid of this wacky, goofy DCU(Dead Cinematic Universe)

She's either playing Clayface's sister or Gorilla Grodd's banana peeler.

She is Diana otherwise there’s absolutely no point in being so coy and James Gunn knows it

Honestly I would be more suspicious about her neither confirming nor denying who she is playing if we didn’t have other actors new to the cast whose characters we don’t know either such as Matthew Lillard , Andre Royo & Sinqua Walls so I think that’s moreso in general then for her specifically.

I wouldn’t mind if she’s playing Maxima but if she is DCU Diana (which I doubt) then I think she could make a good Wonder Woman going by some of her past work tbh!!.
