Activision's latest Transformers title can be deemed unique due to the fact that the game is a crossover between the universe of the Cybertron games and the universe created by Michael Bay's films, therefore serving as a sequel to the excellent Transformers: Fall of Cybertron while being a companion to the upcoming film, Transformers: Age of Extinction. Check out the video below featuring Peter Cullen.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is a video game being developed by Edge of Reality and published by Activision. It was officially announced The game will be released in 2014 for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The game will serve as a companion with the film Age of Extinction. The console version of Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will be a third-person shooter, much like their predecessors Transformers: War for Cybertron, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron and Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The game will have a single-player campaign that will let players choose whether they would like to affiliate themselves with the Autobots, to protect the Earth, or the Deceptions, to destroy the Earth. Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will have a multiplayer mode, entitled Extinction in which combat will be built around hordes. Experience collected by players, in single-player mode and multiplayer mode, will be shared. Whereas, the handheld version of the game will be a strategy RPG.

Still not sure on this one without High Moon being involved, why ruin a good thing.

They already ruined a good thing with Transformers 2, this series should have kept it simple. Optimus vs Megatron

This game looks great. Really interested in both stories, especially the Aligned universe's story. I'm just ecstatic to play as the movie Transformers. AOE Grimlock wrecking sh*t with his club looked amazing. Hope he wrecks some Vehicons the same way in the movie.

I Loved Transformers War For Cybertron And Transformers Fall Of Cybertron, I'd Play Escalation Mode All The Time. The Multiplayer Was Really Fun And I Really Enjoyed The Campaigns. I Can't Wait For This Game, I Already Pre-Ordered It. I Have To Say I Am Skeptical On Them Connecting It With The Terrible Movies.

OMFG, they've retconned the High Moon games. Fall of Cybertron ended with the Autobots and Decepticons leaving Cybertron. Now in this game they're back on Cybertron like nothing happened. Pathetic. This is a cheap money grab and a cheap attempt to force everyone to like Bayformers.

I hope that's the PS3 version. If not the PS4 really is not proving what it can do visually.
