Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot's new action thriller from director Kevin Macdonald, The Runner, is now streaming on Prime Video, and for the majority of critics, the movie failed to get off the starting block.

The Runner follows Gadot's Maia Marten, a successful London-based attorney who is thrust into a tense and dangerous chase across the city after her son is abducted. Forced to obey a series of cryptic commands from a mysterious Caller (Damien Lewis), she races against time through a web of secrets and threats in a desperate bid to save her son.

Based on 21 reviews, The Runner is currently sitting at an abysmal 10% on Rotten Tomatoes.

There's still room for that score to rise, of course, but as things stand, this marks the lowest RT score of Gadot's career (yes, including Red Notice).

You can have a read through some of the full reviews at the links below.

According to the movie's official synopsis, "The Runner follows high-powered London lawyer Maia Marten (Gal Gadot) as a mysterious caller abducts her son and forces her to sprint across the city under strict, merciless commands."

Her Wonder Woman is still the best female hero movie ever. Even Linda Carter was a bad actress outside of her Wonder Woman.

@ClarkJoeKent - I mean there are not many good options in terms of female led superhero movies, Black Widow could give a run for its money

Damn , I wasn’t expecting such a low “score” but going by the trailer I had a feeling it could be a dud…

Might still check it out eventually but in no rush to do so tbh!!.
