The Batman Part II Set Videos: Batman Fights The GCPD As New Look At Batmobile's Blonde Passenger Is Revealed

New footage from the set of The Batman Part II reveals a closer look at a character many fans believe is being played by Scarlett Johansson, along with the hero's escape from the GCPD.

Filming on The Batman Part II continued on the "snowy" streets of Glasgow, Scotland, last night, and we now have a closer look at the mysterious blonde woman who is riding shotgun in the Dark Knight's Batmobile.

While both she and "Batman" are likely stunt performers, many fans have already pointed out that the actress looks strikingly similar to Scarlett Johansson.

Elsewhere in these new videos, the Gotham City Police Department's cops shoot at the Batmobile. As they close in, Batman and his mysterious passenger manage to make a quick getaway (a helicopter appears to be pursuing them, though).

Outside of Lieutenant Jim Gordon, the Caped Crusader didn't have many allies on the force in 2022's The Batman. However, they're clearly shooting to kill in these scenes, so has he been set up, or has his apparent alliance with this female character turned him into a wanted fugitive?

Whatever the case, filmmaker Matt Reeves is clearly pulling out all the stops. Pandemic-related restrictions hampered The Batman during production, so we'd expect the director to up the ante in this sequel, something that's evident from these action-packed videos.

Earlier this year, Robert Pattinson declared Batman "the granddaddy of superheroes and the most relevant and important."

"Since I started doing the part, you look into the kind of legacy of it. There’s something about that face that’s a very deep and primal thing. It connects to people, it connects to children, it connects to adults, and then the legacy of the movies as well," he explained. "I mean, they just got incredibly lucky with how they started and the filmmakers who were attracted to the character."

"And so they’ve made so many really, really great Batman movies, and everybody wants to add to the legacy," Pattinson continued. "No one wants to be the person who messes it up."

While fans have been vocal about wanting to see this version of Batman in the DCU, there's nothing to suggest that's the plan. The Brave and the Bold remains in limbo, and as a result, the DCU still has no Batman. For whatever reason, the character doesn't appear to be much of a priority for James Gunn.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script by him and Mattson Tomlin, The Batman Part II stars Robert Pattinson, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright, Charles Dance, Jayme Lawson, Gil Perez-Abraham, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree Henry.

The Batman Part II is set to be released in theaters on February 18, 2028.

I suspect that “The Batman Saga News” has no idea what “HQ” means. 🙄

Ah, the cops chasing Batman has been done to death. I hope there is at least a good reason. If they are going derivative, I’d rather see this Batman beating up his Joker at some point. I have zero interest in the Court of Owls but Scar Jo as Ivy sounds interesting if true

@Bucky74 - Yeah but for some reason the Reeves fans think everything he does is original even though he's the least original by far of the Batman filmmakers. Schema her and Snyder were bad but at least they weren't just aping Nolan.

@Bucky74 - Perhaps the labyrinth lies beneath one of Gotham's oldest structures: Arkham Asylum.

When Batman is in the labyrinth, the Joker's door opens, and he is led into it. There, the Joker takes the place of the Minotauto in Greek mythology and confronts Batman.

The names of some people who were there before Batman are engraved on the labyrinth's walls. The name "Cyrus Gold" (Solomon Grundy) could be one of them.
